The Environmental Interface Center (E.I.C) is a coastal research facility that rethinks the relationship between architecture, climate, and marine ecology. Located at port in Pohang, the project integrates public space, collaborative programs, and blue-carbon research into a single, open system. Through environment-responsive facades, layered circulation, and a structure designed for coastal conditions, the E.I.C creates an adaptive interface between the sea, the city, and scientific investigation—proposing a new way to inhabit and engage with vulnerable coastal environments.
